Jess Lopez-King has been taking pictures since she was old enough to hold a Lego-block camera. She made it official by earning a BA in Fine Arts from James Madison University in 1999. Since then, she has held a variety of jobs some more creative than others and has been continuing to nurture her passion for photography on the side. Photography is about taking the time to look deep within, and coupled with the right phrase, can sometimes bring about true clarity of soul. The pieces shown here are from her newest line of work they are from a group-in-progress called “Spirit Says”, and Jess plans to bring forth all manner of products through local retailers later this year.
